Delicious served over vanilla ice cream or as an accompaniment to grilled pork chops.
Yield: Serves 4
4 | large peaches | ||

1/4 | cup | fresh lemon juice | |

4 | Tablespoons | butter | |
|

2 | Tablespoons | orange juice | |
|
|||
1 | Tablespoon | brown sugar | |
|
Peel peaches and cut into quarters. Pour lemon juice into small bowl. Add peaches to bowl and toss to coat well.
Melt butter, add orange juice and brown sugar.
Thread peaches on skewers and place on oiled grill over medium heat. Baste with orange juice mixture, turning until browned.
Serve over vanilla ice cream or as an accompaniment with grilled pork chops.
-Place peaches in a closed paper bag at room temperature for 1 to 2 days to ripen and once ripened store in the refrigerator.
-The flavor of a peach intensifies when warm so remove from the refrigerator one hour before eating.
-A medium peach has only 40 calories.
-Peaches are fat-free and sodium-free, and a good source of Vitamin A, potassium and fiber.
